JEN RAY

Ms. Jen is not a "Miss" anymore, but she has missed you!

Classes will be based in jazz-technique and conclude with a fun combo inspired by one of her favourite dance movies. You'll have to attend to find out what it is!

“Miss Jen” has nearly a decade of experience working with young people as a dance instructor, choreographer, and more recently through Dancinema workshops and as a co-directing The JaM Youth Project, a pre-professional tap dance company. Her teaching career began at Essence, which is to say that

She is
dedicated to cultivating well-rounded, critical-minded, and multi-talented individuals through the classes and events she offers. Her genuine concern for the future, respect for the past, and vision for an integrated arts education inspired her to create “Discover Dancinema Workshops”. Ms. Jen is excited to be hosting Cascadia events at Essence this year and hopes you have a great experience!
